Holly Readshaw is a scriptwriter and comedian based in Gateshead, UK. Graduating from Northumbria's BA Drama and Scriptwriting programme in 2019, Holly continued to study for an MA in Theatre and Performance at Northumbria University and graduated in 2020.

In 2023, Holly began her stand-up comedy career, performing at The Stand's Redraw and Greenman's Long Live Comedy.

Holly has performed in various productions of both drama and comedy. From performing as part of an ensemble during her undergraduate degree, to solo performance in her own project, Holly has experience across a wide spectrum of theatre and screen.

In 2020, Holly embarked on her first solo performance entitled, The Next Station Is..., which was also self written and took a focus on her thoughts and opinions of Newcastle Upon Tyne and Gateshead in the form of immersive theatre.

As a writer, Holly's work is often comedy based, with her debut comedy play, Once a Dunstoner, Always a Dunstoner, being performed at Newcastle's Live Theatre in 2021.

Holly has a keen interest in screenwriting. In 2019, Holly wrote a series of comedy sketches, which she helped to film and performed in, to create the first episode of YouTube sketch show Why Did the Chicken? (Pictured left) with her company, Runny Noses Productions.
